Where is The Republic of Slowjamastan located?
Slowjamastan is an enclave completely surrounded by American territory. Our nation is accessible from California Highway 78, between the American cities of Ocotillo Wells and Westmoreland, California. You can learn more about our location HERE.
Is The Republic of Slowjamastan really a country?
You betcha.
I don’t believe you.
A wise man once said, “It’s my prerogative.” That wise man was Bobby Brown. You don’t have to believe us – you do you and we’ll do us. But really, what constitutes what is and isn’t a country? I guess it depends on who you ask. Taiwan, Palestine, Vatican City, Kosovo and Western Sahara all say they are countries, but a large portion of the world does not agree. We have claimed independence, have land, borders, cultures and a kick-ass raccoon as a logo/national animal, soooooooo…we’re a country. Don’t fight it.
Can I visit Slowjamastan?
Why yes, yes you can. But you’ll need permission, a.k.a a visa. Apply for one HERE. Do not attempt to enter Slowjamastan without permission – we have land mines. And wild raccoons.
We do encourage selfies in front of our border signs. Just don’t go into Slowjamastan much further without a guide (the whole land mine thing, you know.)

Can I Become a Citizen of Slowjamastan?
You sure can! Like any nation, there are requirements. There is a test (don’t worry, it’s easy) and minimal paperwork, but trust me – it’s totally worth it. CLICK HERE to get started. And citizenship is 100% FREE!

I’m glad you asked. We will soon be building our political and gubernatorial offices and we need all the help we can get. Does Slowjamastan have a leader?
You damn right. The Sultan Randy “R Dub!” Williams is the founder and supreme leader of Slowjamastan. Don’t even think about trying to overthrow him or this republic. It’s not that our Sultan can fight – he just has a lot of debt, and you don’t want that!!!

What is The Sultan’s day job?
The Sultan goes by “R Dub!” on the radio, and hosts an internationally syndicated program called Sunday Night Slow Jams that airs on over 200 radio stations in 17 countries. (Really!) Slowjamastan is a tax-free nation. We don’t believe in over-taxing our citizens like some nations and states (ahem, California, I’m talking about you!)
