It’s ironic that just days before this incident, The Slowjamastan crew spent the weekend cleaning up the desert; our Adopt-a-Highway program along CA-78. Only to have these great examples of parents bring their small kids to commit multiple crimes.

CHILD ENDANGERMENT
Penal Code § 273a(a) PC prohibits child endangerment, which is intentionally placing a child under 18 in a situation that threatens their health and safety. Punishment: a fine of up to $10,000 (ten-thousand dollars); OR,. Both imprisonment and a fine. TRESSPASSING California Penal Code [CPC] §602(k) – Trespassing – Section 602(k) of the Penal Code makes it illegal to enter land to damage property or property rights or to enter in order to interfere with a business or occupation carried on by the owner of the land, the owner’s agent, or the lawful possessor of the land. Punishment: up to six months in a county jail, a fine of up to $1,000, or both imprisonment and a fine.
BREAKING AND ENTERING
California Penal Code 459, “breaking and entering” commonly referred to as burglary, is a felony in California. Burglary is the entering of another’s residential or commercial dwelling with intent to commit theft or any felony. Punishment: two to six years in state prison, a fine of up to $10,000 or both.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY
California Penal Code 594(a)(1)-(3) makes it illegal to damage, deface, or destroy property that doesn’t belong to you. Punishment: up to three years in a state prison, a fine of up to $50,000, or both prison and a fine AIDING AND ABETTING California Penal Code § 31 PC is the California statute that addresses aiding and abetting. This is defined as encouraging, facilitating or aiding in the commission of a criminal act. A person who aids and abets a crime faces the same punishment as the one who directly commits the crime. Punishment: Punishment for aiding and abetting a crime is the same as the punishment for the person who directly committed the crime; meaning, if you are convicted of aiding and abetting, you face the exact same penalties as the principal perpetrator of the offense, which can range from fines to significant jail time depending on the severity of the underlying crime involved.
